July, 250 years. What a great country we live in. I'm reminded of the Patriotic Song we sing: "Our country Tis of Thee, sweet land of liberty, of Thee I sing. Yes, this country is a great place to live with the freedom that we all appreciate. Even more so than that, liberty is the liberty that we find in Jesus Christ. True, we are free in this country, but this life will pass. What about the future?
Those of you who are old enough to remember the song by Fats Domino, "I Found My Thrill on Blueberry Hill," I can say that there is nothing like the thrill of being a citizen of heaven. And it all started on a hill many years ago called Golgotha. Let's remember as the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air that it was a solitary life given for us that provided the greatest freedom of all.
